The last time the Race of Champions took place in London was at Wembley Stadium in 2008, where Lewis Hamilton demonstrated his title-winning McLaren. His future McLaren team-mate Jenson Button was participating but had yet to win his title, while David Coulthard was still racing for Red Bull and Sebastian Vettel was at Toro Rosso but still teamed up with Michael Schumacher to win the ROC Nations Cup.
