For the drivers taking part in the Race of Champions, the event is essentially a weekend off as they get to relax and have fun with others who are often rivals at racetracks around the world every weekend. Of course, the winner is always pleased with his day's work when he claims the title, but as one first round casualty pointed out - and finalist Tom Kristensen agreed - if you reach the latter stages then you miss out on all the fun in the bar... Plenty of fun was had even before the event got underway, as this shot of the changing rooms shows.
