Sebastian Vettel won the Champion of Champions title for the first time at this year's Race of Champions, but it also marked the first year he had failed to secure the Nations Cup. Vettel and team-mate Nico Hulkenberg were beaten in the final, but Vettel tasted success on his first ROC outing alongside Michael Schumacher in Wembley in 2007. Schumacher was a regular at the event, and Saturday's running started with the drivers holding up a banner reading 'We miss you Michael, get well soon'.
