Ross Brawn celebrates his 61st birthday today. The former Benetton and Ferrari technical director was more recently team principal at Mercedes, a role he took on having won both the drivers' and constructors' championships with his own Brawn team following Honda's departure from F1 at the end of 2008. Having saved the team, Brawn eventually sold his shares to Mercedes and left as team principal at the end of the 2013 season having helped put in place the framework which makes the Silver Arrows so dominant today.
