News of Daniil Kvyat’s promotion to Toro Rosso for the 2014 season came as a little surprise, especially after fellow Red Bull youngster Antonio Felix da Costa was tipped for the seat. However, the Russian quickly proved his credentials when he replaced Jean-Eric Vergne for his maiden FP1 session at the 2013 United States Grand Prix in Austin.
