The new Baku City Circuit has been the centre of debate between drivers, with some unhappy at certain aspects of the track's safety and others praising the challenge. Either way, the circuit proved itself to be a test for the best during qualifying, with numerous errors compromising results. Lewis Hamilton was one such driver to suffer, struggling throughout the session to hook up a clean lap and eventually qualifying 10th after clipping an unforgiving barrier at Turn 11.
