Four years ago today the first United States Grand Prix at the new Circuit of the Americas was held. Austin immediately became a firm favourite with its warm welcome and challenging circuit, putting on a close race for good measure. Lewis Hamilton took what would prove to be his last victory for McLaren by overtaking Sebastian Vettel to get the better of a tight battle between the two, with Fernando Alonso third as the title race went down to the wire.
