Former grand prix winner Clay Regazzoni, who passed away on this date 10 years ago, made 132 career starts from 1970 to 1980, taking five successes - four at Ferrari and the first-ever win for Williams in 1979 - and as many pole positions.

The popular Swiss driver is pictured above en route to victory at his ‘home’ race in 1975. The Swiss Grand Prix was a non-championship event held at Dijon-Prenois… in France. In the wake of the 1955 Le Mans 24 Hours disaster, which claimed the lives of over 80 people, Switzerland decided to ban motor racing and has not lifted it ever since.
