On this day in 1975, Brabham's Carlos Pace won the Brazilian Grand Prix at Interlagos , his one and only victory in Formula 1. A driver deserving wider recognition, Pace would sadly perish two years later in a light aircraft accident near Sao Paulo, in March 1977. The Interlagos track was renamed Autodromo José Carlos Pace in his honour.
