McLaren's highly-awaited new livery appears to be creating more of a buzz than anything else surrounding the Woking-based outfit, but in the interim, the 2017 car did pass the crash test.
The mandatory procedure was passed without any drama per a tweet by McLaren-Honda racing director Eric Boullier's yesterday.
"After a lot of hard work, I want to say thanks to those who helped us pass the FIA crash tests. Now to get it painted!"
Fans of the legendary F1 team are hoping for a return, or at least partially, of the outfit's original color, Papaya orange.
While we patiently wait until its 2017 challenger is unveiled on February 24, McLaren has joined Force India, Toro Rosso and Haas in teams which have successfully passed the crash tests.
