Rosberg celebrates Laureus win with Beatrice Vio

Nico Rosberg was celebrating winning the Laureus Breakthrough of the Year award this week. After receiving the award from F1 legend Emerson Fittipaldi in Monte Carlo, the world champion posed for this selfie with Italian fencer Beatrice Vio whom Rosberg described as his biggest hero of the night.

Vio won gold and bronze medals in fencing in Rio last year, and picked up the Laureus award for World Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability on Tuesday.

Rosberg is the fifth F1 driver to be recognised at the Laureus awards, following on from Daniel Ricciardo (2015), Jenson Button (2010), Lewis Hamilton (2008) and Juan Pablo Montoya (2002).
