Sebastian Vettel (P4, 12 pts): 6/10
It has proved to be a rather worrying start to the season for Sebastian Vettel. Ferrari looked to be flying high after their successful pre-season testing, and expected to be fully up to speed and at the front in the first race of the season. Instead, all that pace disappeared and Mercedes ended up with a big advantage throughout the weekend. Vettel seemed troubled by this development and out of sorts, lacking an answer to the sudden renewed superiority of the Silver Arrows. It also wasn't a good sign that he came under sustained pressure from his rookie team mate Charles Leclerc as he laboured to the finish, having already been overtaken on track by Max Verstappen - although the Red Bull had the advantage of much fresher tyres at the time. While fourth place certainly keeps him firmly in the F1 game of thrones, Vettel will be hoping that Melbourne proves to be an anomaly and not a trend for 2019.
