Daniil Kvyat (P9, 2 pts): 8/10
It was a very decent outing for Daniil Kvyat this weekend in Spain, who managed to feature in or just outside the top ten throughout. Getting through to the final round of qualifying on Saturday afternoon was a particularly satisfying moment for the young Russian. In the race, he made the most of his ninth place start and ran in the points for all but five of the 66 laps. Eighth was looking on the cards until the safety car period threw a spanner in the works. Confusion among his pit crew was partly set right when he subsequently benefitted from an internal Haas dispute that allowed him to get a jump on Romain Grosjean toward the end pf the race - a just reward for a cooler, calmer Kvyat in 2019.
