Charles Leclerc (P3, 15 pts): 8.5/10
Charles Leclerc hadn't been happy with some of his recent Grand Prix performances and was determined to get back on track this weekend with a solid drive in the French Grand Prix. Head down, that's exactly what he did. He was faster than team mate Sebastian Vettel in Friday's practice sessions during which Ferrari was more focussed on evaluating upgrades to the SF90. He carried that momentum into Saturday's sessions: while Vettel struggled in Q3, Leclerc pulled off a decent effort for third place on the grid. However there was no question of competing with the super swift Mercedes pair in the race, and so after repelling Max Verstappen's early advances at the start of the race Leclerc simply got on with the business of delivering third place. He was rewarded for his diligence by an opportunity to have a late go at Valtteri Bottas for second place, although the Monegasque driver admitted that the was never a real chance to make it stick. Nonetheless, it provided a flourish at the end of a rather flat race.
