Oliver Bearman, Haas (P14): 3/10

The first of the finishers was British youngster Bearman, though it wasn’t much of a feat. Perhaps we should give him a tiny bit of praise from bringing his Haas home in one piece, but he was absolutely nowhere in the race, even compared to teammate Ocon. We have to dock points for his duo of crashes during practice as well, giving his team unnecessary work and financial troubles when they could really do without.

Esteban Ocon, Haas (P13): 4/10

Ocon had a slightly better race than Bearman, but that Haas car can’t help but resign their drivers to the shadows. Some may argue that there was a tiny chance of points if the Frenchman had decided to stay out on Intermediate tyres when the track was dry with heavier rain on the horizon, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
