It’s hard to criticise him as he just gets the job done when the opportunity presents itself, but it also means he is usually driving within himself as he makes sure he brings the car home safe in the knowledge victory is his. A good start ensured this one was never in danger, and he showed he had the pace to ensure Hamilton could not entertain the idea of catching his team-mate, but the fact he set the ninth-fastest lap - with his personal best coming on lap 26 - shows how little he had to push.
