Manor will continue development of its 2015 car after successfully updating the MR03B at the British Grand Prix.
Silverstone saw the team bring its first upgrades to the car since it was launched at the start of the 2014 season, with changes to the front wing, nose, sidepods, rear bodywork and rear wing, while there was also a complete new floor. With Manor having been encouraged by the progress shown, sporting director Graeme Lowdon told F1i there will be more updates this season.
"We'll certainly keep developing," Lowdon said. "What form that's going to take, I'm not quite sure, but we're not going to stop. As you can see, you can be presented with a situation where there's an opportunity and the quicker we make the whole package, through whichever means, then the better chance the guys have got."
With team principal John Booth playing down the chances of Manor introducing a new car this season, Lowdon says it remains an option but concedes it is unlikely.
"There's still potential but I think as time moves forward some of the parameters start outweighing it. But as we've said before, we've strengthened the management at a level where there's a lot of input now and a lot of decisions being made. It wouldn't be right for me to second guess which route we go down.
"A lot of the development route is the same, there's very little change in a '15 car to a '16 car, so a lot of the work we're doing in the tunnel is the same, whether we press the manufacture button now or for next year. But you've got to look at all the factors and weigh up what the best thing to do is."
