Daniil Kvyat will take part in the next Red Bull F1 demo, with the Russian set to take the RB7 for a spin on home soil during the Kazan City Racing event held on August 30.

Now a podium finisher in the sport, the 21-year-old will entertain local fans by showcasing the 2011-spec machine that Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber raced to the Drivers’ and Constructors’ championships.

Kvyat is the latest high-profile name to star in Red Bull’s Show Car team after fellow stablemates Daniel Ricciardo and Carlos Sainz received a warm welcome in Mexico City last June.

Kazan City Racing will take place on a specially-built course around Tysyacheletia Square and feature drift racers, Russian Superbike championship motorcycles, as well as the Red Bull Kamaz Truck Racing crew and Dakar 2015 winner Ayrat Mardeev.

Last year’s event saw then Caterham F1 Team reserve driver Robin Frijns thrill a crowd of 50,000. With Russia’s most successful F1 driver coming to town, expect the attendance to soar in the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan next Sunday.
