Romain Grosjean says he has not been kept informed regarding the uncertain future at Lotus after bailiff involvement at the Belgian Grand Prix.
Following Grosjean's impressive third place at Spa-Francorchamps, bailiffs moved in and prevented Lotus trucks from leaving the circuit. The team's motorhome was taken to Germany by owners Toyota before being released in time for the Italian Grand Prix, while the cars themselves had to go straight from Belgium to Monza.
Asked if he has been kept informed about developments within the team, Grosjean replied: "No, I know as much as you do.
"I think everybody is waiting to see what happens in the next few days, or weeks. Hopefully the good news is coming."
While the focus has been on the financial situation rather than Grosjean's impressive result in Belgium, the Frenchman says he is trying to ignore the external problems.
"I don’t really care [about the negativity surrounding the team]. It was the case before Spa, it was the case in Hungary and I think as a race team and a racer, we come here to do our best, the same as we did in Spa. As long as we are here and we have everything we need to compete, that’s what matters to us."
