Nico Hulkenberg is carrying out a pre-season test for Porsche in Bahrain ahead of his World Endurance Championship (WEC) debut.

It was confirmed in November last year that Hulkenberg would drive a Porsche LMP1 car at the Spa six-hour race before taking part in Le Mans for the first time in his career. Following the announcement, Hulkenberg then got his first taste of the Porsche 919 at Aragon in December.

The Porsche drive is alongside Hulkenberg's F1 commitments for Force India, where he is set to drive for the second consecutive season having rejoined the team from Sauber at the end of 2013.

With Force India yet to run during pre-season F1 testing - admitting its 2015 car may struggle to be ready for the final test in Barcelona - Hulkenberg is in Bahrain having his first run in the new 919 at the Sakhir circuit, with Porsche tweeting images from the test.

Hulkenberg will drive a third Porsche LMP1 entry this year, with the team retaining the original driver line-ups from 2014 in its other two cars, including former Red Bull driver Mark Webber.
