Pascal Wehrlein will be back behind the wheel when pre-season testing resumes at the Circuit de Catalunya tomorrow.
The Sauber driver was sidelined following a back injury sustained at last month's Race of Champions in Miami.
But the German's latest medical exam has provided him with an all-clear to resume his driving duties this week.
Ferrari reserve driver Antonio Giovinazzi, who was drafted in by Sauber for last week's first round of pre-season testing, will remain on call in case Wehrlein's experiences any discomfort as he drives the team's new C36 challenger for the very first time.
