Force India has confirmed it will run its 2014 car throughout the second pre-season test at Barcelona.
With the launch of its 2015 car delayed, Force India originally planned on running the old car during the first test at Jerez but eventually opted to skip the test altogether. However, despite deputy team principal Bob Fernley having previously raised doubts over when the new chassis will be ready, the team has confirmed it will be present at the second test with last year's car.
"We will run all four days in Barcelona next week with the VJM07," a team spokesman told F1i. "The VJM08 is still expected to debut at the final Barcelona test."
Running the old car gives Force India the opportunity to test the 2015 Pirelli tyres using a stable baseline, allowing easier comparison to last year's compounds.
