A feature length biographical film dedicated to the life and times of four-time Formula 1 world champion Alain Prost will be presented today at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
The biopic is scheduled to enter production this summer, with filming taking place on location at Magny-Cours.
Produced by Labyrinthe Films and Mars Films, the film is set to be directed by Julien Leclerc and will simply be called 'Prost'.
But contrary to 'Senna' released in 2010, which used archival footage of the career of the F1 legend, the Prost film will be based on a script and played by real actors.
"The story will feature two parts," said producer Julien Madon.
"The first will focus on Alain's relationship with his brother Daniel, a motorsport fan who introduced him to racing, and who died early in Alain's career. The second part will naturally be centered on his rivalry with Ayrton Senna."
