It appears the Haas F1 Team and Romain Grosjean still aren't satisfied with the VF-17's brakes as another supplier swap takes place in Malaysia.

Grosjean has formulated complaints about his brakes as far back as last summer, claiming a general lack of feeling which has impacted his confidence and driving.

In a bid to solve the persistent issue, Haas has been switching between Brembo and Carbone Industrie brakes all season.

While the French driver appeared to ultimately favor the latter supplier, a shortage of components forced Haas to revert to Brembo at certain venues.

Carbone Industrie has brought new discs and cooling ducts to Sepang however, and if Grosjean is satisfied with the latest set, he will likely remain with CI for the remainder of the season.

"From Malaysia, we have new discs with more cooling, which should help us," Grosjean said in Malaysia.

"We're hoping to be able to do so [stick with the same discs] from Malaysia onwards, if there aren't any more delays.

"We have designed different brakes. The whole team has been working well and doing good progress."

Oddly, only Grosjean has complained of brake issues this season, with team mate Kevin Magnussen formulating no grievances.

"I've had a better feeling (with CI) even though I was saying Brembo has made really good progress recently," added the Frenchman.

"If we had to switch back to Brembo, I'm not too worried. It's going to be OK.

"I have a little preference for the CI, but again, everyone has been working well together and the team is pushing as hard as we can and it's nice to get everyone onboard and involved.

"Between Brembo and CI, they are two very good companies, so I'm pretty sure we are going to get to the end of that soon."
