Ferrari chairman Sergio Marchionne is visiting the troops at the US Grand Prix this weekend, lending his support to the Scuderia as it seeks to pick itself up after its disastrous recent run.
Asked by Sky F1 to comment on the rumors of team principal Maurizio Arrivabene's impending demise and replacement by tech boss Mattia Binotto, Marchionne insisted on putting the record straight.
"Both Mattia and Maurizio have been involved in this process, picking one or the other is a bit idiotic," said the Fiat-Chrysler CEO.
"They were both at the table when the operation was going. Technically I was involved too, as the chairman."
Marchionne added that displacing or firing personnel at Ferrari was not the solution to the team's issues which he believes evolve around a change of process.
"That's not going to solve the issues. We need to win, that's the more important thing. I don't think it's attributable to a single guy.
"Processes may not have helped, and those things are being addressed."
