Following Sergio Marchionne's threats to quit F1, Formula E boss Alejandro Agag does not see Ferrari racing in the all-electric series any time soon.
Marchionne voiced his concerns about Formula 1's recently tabled 2021 power unit proposal, disapproving of the potential inclusion of standardised parts, a concept which could entice Ferrari to quit Grand Prix racing and race elsewhere, according to the manufacturer's chairman.
Asked if Ferrari could one day head to Formula E, Agag told El Confidencial: "It would be fantastic.
"But I think, for now, it would be a very big cultural change for them.
"Marchionne has said he is looking at it, but not for Ferrari but for Maserati perhaps," he added.
"But I've never spoken to him. I don't think it's imminent. I have seen the new Tesla Roadster that is 0-100kph in 1.9 seconds, and nothing like that from Ferrari."
