Ferrari signs Daniil Kvyat as development driver!

Former Red Bull driver Dany Kvyat will be wearing red this year following Ferrari's surprising announcement that it has named the Russian as one of its 2018 development drivers.

Kvyat was evicted from Toro Rosso and the Red Bull family just before last year's US Grand Prix after a disappointing period of under-performance.

The 23-year-old Russian launched his career with the Faenza-based outfit in 2014 before he was promoted to the senior squad a year after.

The rise of Max Verstappen however enticed Red Bull's Helmut Marko to promote the teenage Dutch prodigy to its A-team after just three races in 2016, demoting Kvyat back down to Toro Rosso where he fell into the clutches of another talented hopeful, Carlos Sainz.

Kvyat joins the Scuderia and will work alongside Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen.
