Sauber has announced that Franco-German engineer Jan Monchaux will head the Swiss outfit's aerodynamic team starting this month.
Monchaux - a graduate of the French engineering school Supaero - began his F1 career with Toyota in 2002 before moving to Ferrari in 2010 where he eventually led the Scuderia's aero team. He left the Italian squad in 2013 to join Audi Sport as head of vehicle engineering and aerodynamics.
"I'm very much looking forward to the arrival of Jan Monchaux as the new head of aerodynamics," said Sauber technical director, Jorg Zander.
"It marks an important step of a wider project that aims at strengthening and implementing the Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team in line with the targets and the results we want to achieve on tracks."
