Fans asked to vote on 'ultrasoft' Pirelli compound

Pirelli has asked fans to vote on the colour of a new ultrasoft tyre compound for 2016.

The tyre manufacturer is introducing the new compound next season for use on street circuits such as Monaco and Singapore, where it has traditionally always supplied its softest two compounds within its range. The ultrasoft will be the softest compound available to teams, sitting below the supersoft, soft, medium and hard tyres.

With all of the Pirelli tyre compounds featuring coloured branding to help make them easily identifiable to fans and viewers, Pirelli wants fans to vote on which colour should be utilised for the new ultrasoft.

The two colours available to vote between are purple (featured above) and silver (below). Fans can vote for their preferred choice on Pirelli's social media channels: Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
