Follow live coverage of qualifying and the rest of the United States Grand Prix weekend from Austin with F1i.

Qualifying takes place on Sunday morning for the first time since the 2013 Australian Grand Prix when the session needed to be completed on the day of the race. It's the second attempt to run qualifying after numerous delays on Saturday due to heavy rain, with the session eventually postponed at 16:00 local time.

Qualifying gets underway at 09:00 local time at Circuit of the Americas with the race scheduled at 14:00. With rain still falling on Sunday morning, qualifying must have started by 10:00 otherwise FP3's times will be used to set the grid.

Lewis Hamilton set the pace in final practice, with the championship leader heading Sebastian Vettel. In the scenario that the FP3 times are used, Nico Hulkenberg will start alongside Hamilton on the front row having finished the session in third place, with Sebastian Vettel and team-mate Kimi Raikkonen - who finished the session in ninth place - facing ten-place grid penalties for engine changes.
