Lewis Hamilton has taken the opportunity of this weekend's returning Mexican Grand Prix to step into the wrestling ring and have a go at Lucha Libre.
Fresh off claiming his third world title at Austin, the Mercedes ace appeared at Arena Mexico, the home of Lucha Libre, to face local hero and former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Mistico.
And it did not take long for Hamilton to get the gist of it, as the Briton duly floored his opponent with a fine high-flying manoeuvre, much to the delight of the attending crowd who immediately started chanting “Lewis, Lewis, Lewis”. Really soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, the 30-year-old was soon carried around the ring triumphantly.
Check out the video of his exploits on the ring, courtesy of event and Mercedes sponsor Puma. Who knows, these newly learnt fighting skills might come handy for Hamilton next time he gets a cap thrown back at him…
