Susie Wolff and Felipe Nasr both heavily damaged their cars in a crash during the first day of the second test at Barcelona.

Early in the afternoon session, Wolff was on an out lap in the Williams when being overtaken by Nasr on the run to Turn 5. The two collided with Wolff's front left making contact with Nasr's right rear, bringing out the red flags at the Circuit de Catalunya.

Nasr ended up reaching the barrier on the outside of Turn 5 with a heavily damaged rear of the car, while Wolff stopped in the gravel with a broken front left suspension.

While both drivers declared their innocence - Williams claiming Nasr moved back towards the racing line before he was clear of Wolff's car - the teams got to work repairing the cars to try and get them back out before the end of the session.

Wolff had completed 83 laps at the time of the incident while Nasr had managed 68.
