Lance Stroll will likely get a head start on his 2019 season with Force India when he runs with the pink outfit at the post-Abu Dhabi Grand Prix tyre test set to take place at Yas Marina.
The young Canadian has yet to be announced as Sergio Perez's team mate next season at the Silverstone-based outfit which is now part-owned by his father, Lawrence Stroll.
"I think Abu Dhabi it would be good to have the second driver in the car to get some mileage," said Force India team boss Otmar Szafnauer, without specifically naming Stroll.
"The Abu Dhabi test is all about next year. Although it is with this year's car, it is with next year's tyres, so it is all about understanding next year's tyres."
Szafnauer also confirmed that Esteban Ocon would remain in his seat at Force India for the remaining three races of the 2018 season.
The talented Frenchman is still awaiting clarity on his future which should include either a race seat with Williams in 2019 or a year on the sidelines as Mercedes' official reserve driver.
