Before Fernando Alonso and Jimmie Johnson indulge in the mother of all car swaps today, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vette capped off their season with a celebratory helmet swap.
It was another close-fought battle between the two F1 legends this year, with both men racing to achieve a fifth world title.
In the end, Hamilton and Mercedes came out on top, but Vettel has survived to fight another year, insisting he'll be giving his arch-rival a 'harder run' in 2019. Which is all the fans want to see.
"This is kind of an honorary thing that drivers do, this is the highest regard of respect that we can have as drivers," said Hamilton.
"This is like our jerseys. So here's one of mine, great job this year, and it's a real pleasure racing against you."
