Williams' George Russell arrived in Baku yesterday feeling under the weather, a condition that prevented the young Brit from taking part in Thursday's media day.
Russell was scheduled to appear in today's FIA press conference alongside Kevin Magnussen, Lance Stroll, Nico Hulkenberg and Antonio Giovinazzi.
While present in the paddock in Baku, the 21-year-old was given permission by his team to skip the presser and rest.
"He has been feeling unwell for a few days," a Williams spokesperson told Motorsport.com. "But he is improving and was advised to rest to ensure he is fit for tomorrow."
Russell is still on track to drive when the Azerbaijan Grand Prix weekend kicks off on Friday morning.
