Watch 'Le Grand Rendez-Vous' starring Charles Leclerc

'Le Grand Rendez-Vous', the remake of a 1976 cult classic by French director Claude Lelouch, and starring Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, was released on YouTube this weekend.

The original short film - 'C'était un Rendez-Vous' - depicted a high-speed, frantic drive in the early morning through the streets of Paris.

Last month, Monte-Carlo briefly opened its roads for a few hours to Lelouch and his crews who filmed Leclerc manhandling a 986-horsepower Ferrari SF90 Stradale around the glitzy Principality.

The local hero and two-time Grand Prix winner takes a spin around the track before receiving a bouquet of flowers and embarking on another lap flanked by His Majesty's Prince Albert II.

To be honest, we were looking forward to see the results of Lelouch's efforts but the final cut is anything but overwhelming or thrilling, and is void of the rhythm and flow of Lelouch's original piece.

One wonders about the exact purpose of the cinematic work that involved 17 people, nine Go Pros, six iPhone cameras and a Sony Venice Camera, other than to showcase Ferrari's SF90 Stradale.

But we'll let you judge for yourselves. Check it hereunder out and tell us what you think on our Facebook page.
