Leclerc to start Canadian GP from the back of the grid!

Charles Leclerc's Canadian Grand Prix challenge just went up another few notches following Ferrari's decision to add more power unit components to the Monegasque's pool of hardware.

Ferrari rotated a series of old engine elements to try and avoid a grid drop for Leclerc in Montreal, but a new control electronics initially set him back ten spots on the grid.

But upon further reflection, the Scuderia finally opted to take its pain in Canada by adding to Leclerc's inventory a new internal combustion engine, turbo, MGU-H and MGU-K, a sum total of elements that will leave the Monegasque chasing from behind on Sunday, but on a track where overtaking opportunities abound.

Ferrari also assigned a new third ICE to Carlos Sainz which comes with no penalty attached.

Qualifying will be crucial for the Spaniard who will carry the Scuderia's hopes of a race win in Montreal.
