Only four teams introduced updates for this weekend's Dutch Grand Prix, with Alpine the only outfit to implement multiple changes on its A522 contender.
Contrary to Spa last weekend, Formula 1's front-runners – Red Bull, Ferrari and Mercedes - did not bring any upgrades in their crates, while McLaren, Aston Martin and Haas are also fielding unchanged cars at Zandvoort's high downforce circuit.
Alpine has updated the beam wing on its new-generation car, with the element featuring a shorter chord top element which gives a reduction in drag and an increase in downforce.
But the Enstone squad has also modified its front wing which the team describes as "more efficient than our existing mid-range version with an aim of increasing downforce."
In addition to Alpine, AlphaTauri, Williams and Alfa Romeo also added new elements.
The Faenza-based outfit's AT03 is sporting a modified rear wing at Zandvoort, with an updated tip that "increases the effective span of the rear wing and produces an efficient increase in the local downforce it generates."
Williams FW44 rolled out on Friday with a new front wing endplate that "leads to a change in loading on the endplate wing elements, which influences the local flow field for improved local stability and better downstream interaction with the rest of the car," according to the team.
Finally, Alfa Romeo has tweaked the rear corner of its car, which now features reprofiled rear brake ducts for the purpose of "improving flow conditioning local to the diffuser".
