Williams confirms 2023 F1 'season launch' date

Williams Racing has announced that the team's F1 "season launch" will take place on Monday 6 February.

While the Grove-based outfit will introduce its driver line-up and will likely to reveal the livery of its 2023 car, its new FW45 won't be on display at the event.

The presentation will take place on 6 February at 14:00 GMT, or 15:00 EST.

Williams will entrust its 2023 charger once again to Alex Albon, but the Anglo-Thai racer will be paired this year with American F1 rookie Logan Sargeant who replaces Canadian driver Nicholas Latifi who raced for three seasons with Williams.

"I’m ready and excited to be a part of this journey as the team looks to progress up the grid," recently said Sargeant who will become the first American to compete full-time in Formula 1 since Toro Rosso's Scott Speed in 2007.

The British outfit owned by US private equity firm Dorilton Capital is in the midst of a management restructuring following the unexpected departure last month of Williams Racing chief executive Jost Capito and technical director François-Xavier Demaison.

The team has yet to announce Capito and Demaison's successors.

Like its rivals, Williams, which ambitions to improve this year on its disappointing 2022 campaign in which it finished last in F1's Constructors' standings, will kick off its three-day pre-season testing programme in Bahrain on February 23.
