Ferrari adds Bang & Olufsen to 2023 pool of sponsors

Ferrari has announced that high-end luxury audio manufacturer Bang & Olufsen has joined forces with the Italian outfit as an official partner for 2023.

The Danish brand founded in 1925 and famous for its technical excellence has created some the world’s most iconic audio and home entertainment products based on the unique combination of powerful sound, timeless design and unrivalled craftsmanship.

B&O had signed a multi-year contract with Williams Racing ahead of the 2022, but the company has since decided to switch its allegiance to Ferrari.

"We are pleased to welcome Bang & Olufsen on board as an Official Partner," commented Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna.

"For almost a century, the company has been a byword for state of-the-art audio technology, combined with cutting edge design.

"Like Ferrari, Bang & Olufsen is a point of reference in its field, pushing the boundaries in this sector through constant research into materials and style.

"The two companies have a lot in common, therefore we have high expectations for this partnership".

Earlier this year, Ferrari terminated a lucrative sponsorship deal with blockchain company Velas, with the latter rumored to have been in breach of its financial obligations, perhaps due to the collapse last year of the crypto and NFT markets.

Ferrari has also parted ways with technology partner and Qualcomm affiliate Snapdragon. It is estimated that the exit of the two aforementioned partners equated to an over $30 million drop in sponsorship revenue for the team.

The shortfall will be partially compensated by the arrival of B&O and of American software company Genesys whose deal with Ferrari was announced last month.

Ferrari will unveil its new SF-23 car that will be raced once again by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz tomorrow in Maranello.
