Max Verstappen will take center stage at next month’s Goodwood Festival of Speed as the first reigning world champion to attend the traditional event, with Red Bull's significant presence set to dominate the summer happening.
Verstappen will power up Goodwood’s famous hill onboard his 2021 championship winning RB16B, but the Milton Keynes-based outfit will be showcasing no fewer than seven F1 cars across the weekend.
In addition to Verstappen, Sergio Perez and Christian Horner, a former racer in his own right, will thrill crowds with a variety of Red Bull F1 machinery.
But Daniel Ricciardo and former bulls David Coulthard, Mark Webber, and Christian Klien will also be on hand to take a nostalgic trip down memory lane in various cars.
The Red Bull extravaganza kicks off on Friday, July 11, with the world debut of the highly anticipated RB17 Hypercar, designed by the legendary Adrian Newey.
With a packed schedule featuring current and past champions, iconic cars, and a groundbreaking hypercar reveal, the Goodwood Festival of Speed is shaping up to be a Red Bull showcase unlike any other.
“In its 31-year history, this is the first time that the Festival of Speed has celebrated a Formula 1 team on this scale," said FOS founder Charles Gordon-Lennox, the 11th Duke of Richmond.
"To have both the current drivers – not to mention the reigning world champion – the CEO and team principal, as well as so many team icons is fantastic,” he said.
"Goodwood's motorsport events have always prided themselves on the access that they offer fans and I am delighted that Red Bull Racing has fulfilled our ambition by bringing together such an illustrious and outstanding group of drivers and cars."
Not to be outdone by Red Bull’s presence, Ferrari, Mercedes, McLaren, Alpine, and Williams will also be in attendance.
The Grove-based outfit, in particular, has already announced that Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant will take to the hill alongside team principal, James Vowles!
This year’s Goodwood FOS will kick off on Thursday, July 11 and conclude on Sunday, July 14.
