Formula 1 unleashes new teaser for Hollywood blockbuster ‘F1’

Formula 1 and Apple Original Films electrified fans worldwide with a brand-new teaser for the highly anticipated movie F1, unveiled during last Sunday’s Super Bowl LIX Pregame Show.

The gripping clip offered a thrilling glimpse into the high-octane blockbuster, setting the stage for what promises to be a pulse-pounding cinematic experience.

Directed by Top Gun: Maverick filmmaker Joseph Kosinski and produced by legendary names including Jerry Bruckheimer, Brad Pitt, and Lewis Hamilton, F1 boasts an all-star lineup.

Pitt stars as Sonny Hayes, a former F1 driver making a dramatic return to the grid, where he teams up with rookie sensation Joshua Pearce, played by Damson Idris, at the fictional APXGP team.

A Groundbreaking Film Steeped in Authenticity

What sets F1 apart from typical racing films is its unparalleled authenticity.

The movie was filmed in real-life Grand Prix environments, featuring extensive collaboration with all 10 Formula 1 teams, the FIA, and race promoters.

Furthermore, Hamilton played a pivotal role in ensuring the film’s realism, having advised on the script by drawing from his own experiences to bring as much authenticity as possible to the screen.

Scheduled for release in international theaters and IMAX on June 25, 2025, followed by a North American release on June 27, 2025, F1 is shaping up to be a must-watch for both racing and cinema enthusiasts.

Beyond Pitt and Idris, the film’s cast includes industry heavyweights like Academy Award-nominee Kerry Condon, Academy Award-winner Javier Bardem, Emmy Award-winner Tobias Menzies, and more.

Fans previously got a taste of the action when the first teaser was dropped during the 2024 British Grand Prix.

Now, with this latest clip premiering during one of the biggest sporting events in the world, anticipation for F1 is at an all-time high.
