Force India has cancelled plans to run its 2014 car at the first pre-season test at Jerez.

The team had previously announced that it would not launch its 2015 car - the VJM08 - until before the second test in Barcelona in order to give it more development time. However, the original plan was to still run at the Circuito de Jerez with last year's VJM07.

With just four days until the start of the first test, Force India has now announced that it will not run the old car and will focus on preparing the new car for its debut later in February.

Force India launched its 2015 livery in Mexico City last week, but the car used for that event was VJM07 featuring a 2015-spec front nose.
