Lando Norris is about to let the cameras venture far beyond the Formula 1 paddock.
The reigning world champion has confirmed that a new three-part Amazon Prime Video documentary will arrive in 2027, offering fans a much more intimate look at the McLaren star as he navigates life at the very top of motorsport.
Currently carrying the working title ‘Lando’, the series is being produced by Box to Box Films, the team behind ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive’.
While Norris’ 2026 title defence will provide part of the backdrop, the real attraction promises to be everything happening when the helmet comes off.
“I’m really excited to be doing this with Prime Video,” the 26-year-old said. “We’ve been filming for a while already and I’ve had a lot of fun with it.”
The documentary promises access to a side of Norris rarely seen by the millions who follow him on race weekends – from time spent with friends and family to quieter moments away from the relentless spotlight surrounding an F1 world champion.
The series will follow Norris through the summer leading into his 27th birthday, capturing the contrasts between his highly public sporting life and the more private world that exists away from the circuit.
And unlike ‘Drive to Survive’, where Norris is one character in a much larger F1 story, this time the entire spotlight belongs to him.
“I already share a lot of what I get up to, but this is going to give people more access than ever before to my life away from racing,” Norris added.
“I’ve been really involved in the whole thing, so hopefully people will enjoy seeing more of what goes on behind the scenes. I’m looking forward to people seeing it next year!”
That promise of intimacy should make the project particularly intriguing. Norris has never been entirely camera-shy, regularly opening the door to his world through his ‘LandoLOG’ YouTube videos and his appearances on *Drive to Survive*.
But this time, the cameras have been following him with considerably more freedom.
The official synopsis charts his journey from discovering karting in Bristol to becoming one of the biggest names in global sport, while exploring the reality of reaching that summit at just 26.
From holidays and family time to the exhilaration of Grand Prix victories and the quieter moments of self-reflection, *Lando* aims to show the person behind the public persona.
