Manor has overcome another hurdle ahead of a return to the grid as it has announced it has passed the mandatory FIA crash tests.

The former Marussia team exited administration over the past two weeks and has had to modify its 2014 cars in order to meet the 2015 regulations. One of the major challenges it had to overcome was the FIA crash tests, which the team announced on Twitter that the updated car had successfully passed.

The cars can now fly out to Australia on Friday ahead of the first race of the season in Melbourne next weekend. Manor will use 2014 Ferrari power units, while the team confirmed yesterday it plans on introducing a brand new 2015 car mid-season.

So far only Will Stevens has been named as one of the team's drivers, with the second race seat still vacant 10 days before the opening race of the season.
