'Constructive discussions' as both Saubers run

Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson both took part in FP2 for the Australian Grand Prix as Sauber's court proceedings continue in to Saturday.

Giedo van der Garde was at the Albert Park circuit on Friday morning in order to carry out a seat fit following his successful attempt to prove Sauber should give him a race seat for this season. Van der Garde must get a superlicence before he can drive the car, and so has yet to take part in any session.

Both Saubers remained in the garage during FP1 despite Nasr and Ericsson being in the cars at the beginning of the session.

Contempt of court hearings continued on Friday morning, with van der Garde's lawyers calling for Sauber team principal Monisha Kaltenborn to be committed to prison as punishment.

However, in the afternoon the proceedings were adjourned until Saturday morning, with van der Garde's lawyer saying "constructive discussions" were taking place between both parties which were expected to continue on Friday evening.
