Reigning World Champion Lewis Hamilton just added the ultra-rare Ferrari LaGrande to his super car collection.
When asked last weekend in Melbourne about ongoing contract negotiations, Mercedes boss Toto Wolff admitted contact between his driver and Ferrari had recently been initiated. "Yes, Lewis just bought a LaFerrari," grinned a mischievous Wolff.
The exclusive 6.3 litre V12 fiery thoroughbred provides the highest output of any Ferrari with 950 bhp thanks to its mid-rear mounted 161 bhp engine which works in tandem with a 161 bhp KERS unit.
Lewis, who also owns a Zonda 760LH to prowl the streets of Monte-Carlo, will be set back a hefty 1,2 million euros to indulge in his latest acquisition. One wonders if the Mercedes driver may expand his fleet further with a McLaren P1, or would that be too awkward ?
