Retired world champion Nico Rosberg won't be on this year's F1 grid, but he does believe that changes at the top of the sport's executive level are good news.
Things appear to be reaching a head this week with Formula One's new owners getting down to business by shaking up its board of the directors.
It's also rumored that a series of new executives could be nominated to take over from Bernie Ecclestone, with the 86-year-old supremo offered a position as honorary president.
Nico Rosberg believes the changes will be positive for the sport.
"It's a good thing that this is happening now," the German is quoted by Sport Bild.
"Bernie Ecclestone did a great job, but I think Liberty Media can bring something extra."
The Geman was alluding to the media company's obvious expertise in sports and entertainment, assets which could hopefully add value to Grand Prix racing.
"Maybe they can Americanise the whole thing a little, because they seem to understand show business and we need that now," Rosberg added.
