Max Verstappen has taken the wraps off the Arai crash helmet he will wear during the 2017 Formula 1 season at Red Bull.
The new colours are closer to the RB13’s expected livery, which means the orange colour has been removed while on the top sits a lion, the royal emblem of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
FIA regulations state that F1 pilots must keep the same helmet design throughout the year, though “a driver will now be allowed one event (such as a home race) for a special livery (at the driver’s choice)” per the revised 2017 rulebook.
