McLaren-Honda racer Stoffel Vandoorne has become the latest driver to reveal the crash helmet livery he will sport during the 2017 Formula 1 campaign.

The Belgian made his grand prix debut last year in Bahrain when he deputised for an injured Fernando Alonso, scoring his team’s first points of the season with P10 at the flag.

Following a stellar junior career, which saw him dominate the 2015 GP2 Series and win races in the Japan-based Super Formula, Vandoorne has been promoted to a full-time role in replacement of Jenson Button.

Like his new team-mate Alonso, the 24-year-old joined Bell, historically the most successful helmet supplier in F1. As shown below, the design features Vandoorne’s #2 permanent racing number along with the stylised colours of the Belgian flag.

McLaren-Honda will unveil its new challenger - the much-anticipated MCL32 - on Friday 24 February.
